Ford's 7.3L PowerStroke engine uses an injector control pressure (ICP) sensor and an exhaust back pressure (EBP) sensor, and as these trucks age, problems with either of these sensors can lead to serious drivability problems, reduced fuel economy, check engine lights and no-start conditions. The good news is that problems aren't always from a faulty sensor, though, as age and heat can to lead to deteriorations in the sensor's connector and/or wiring harness. Even worse, a missing heat shield can make a sensor even more susceptible to failure.
Fortunately, the Alliant Power ICP Sensor 7.3 is an OEM-style connector and pigtail harness for 2003 through 2007 Ford F-250 and F-350 Super Duty trucks to make replacing the wiring to the sensor quick and easy. It is universal with both the ICP and EBP sensors making repairs even more painless. Of course, if you are already replacing either sensor on high-mileage engines, it would be a great idea to go ahead and replace the ICP Sensor 7.3 harness just to be safe.
