The worst part about upgrading to a bigger set of wheels and tires on today's trucks is the inevitable tire rub. Heavy-duty trucks are ready to haul big loads, so the rear suspension sits up higher to prevent a squatted look when hauling. This means that there is less clearance for the front wheels, which is obvious when you increase the truck's tire/wheel size.
To prevent this problem, the 2014 to 2017 Ram 2500 leveling kit from Zone Offroad delivers an extra two inches of clearance up front to level out the stance and allow the front tires to be able to steer without any rubbing. The all-steel fabricated spacers are pitched to properly match the angle of the factory coil mount and properly relocates the factory rubber isolator for correct coil spring indexing. Installation should take about four hours, and the overall level of difficulty is low. This kit can be added to a truck by itself as a quick upgrade or paired with optional hydraulic or nitro Zone front/rear shocks.
Once installed, the 2014 to 2017 Ram 2500 leveling kit allows for upgrades of wheels up to 17 inches, tires up to 35 x 12.50 and backspacing of five inches. Better yet, it is fully bolt on, so you don't have to worry about making any modifications to the truck's factory suspension components, which means your truck will still ride like it did from the factory!
Since the RAM 2500 and 3500 Heavy Duty pickup trucks don't use the same rear shocks, be sure to select the correct option when choosing a 2014 to 2017 Ram 2500 leveling kit, but keep in mind this kit won't work for the RAM 2500 Power Wagon.
