Before You Begin

This kit permanently replaces the factory plastic fuel filter housing with a CNC-machined billet aluminum assembly. No cutting or fabrication is required — it's a direct bolt-on using the factory mounting points and fuel line connections.

Step-By-Step Instructions

Remove the OEM Housing

Drain the fuel system and unbolt the factory plastic filter housing. Disconnect the OEM quick-connect fuel lines. The housing pulls straight off — no special tools needed.

Install the SD Housing

Drop the Sinister Diesel billet housing onto the factory mounting location. Reconnect the factory fuel lines to the redesigned quick-connect fittings. No adapters, no cutting — direct fit.

Install Filter & Prime

Install the included Baldwin BF7967 filter, prime the fuel system, and start your truck. Check all fittings for leaks before driving.

Warnings & Important Notes

Diesel fuel is flammable Relieve fuel system pressure and work away from open flame or sparks. Keep shop rags on hand for spillage.
Prime before starting Running the engine before the fuel system is fully primed can introduce air into the lines. Follow the priming step before you start the truck.

Troubleshooting

Confirm the quick-connect is fully seated and you hear/feel it click. A light coat of clean diesel on the O-ring can help it seat without forcing it.

This is almost always an unprimed fuel system. Re-check Step 3 and make sure the system is fully primed with no air in the lines before cranking again.

Double check the grooved O-ring is seated evenly in its channel before final tightening. An uneven or pinched O-ring is the most common cause of seepage.
