Product Overview
The 2023+ 6.7L Powerstroke High Output engine operates at higher factory boost levels, increasing the demand on the charge air system.
From the factory, the cold-side pipe is plastic and the hot-side pipe is a restrictive 2.5" metal tube. Under increased boost pressure,
these components can expand, fatigue, or become airflow bottlenecks — especially under towing or heavy load.
Sinister Diesel replaces both sides with full 3" mandrel-bent, TIG-welded aluminum tubing engineered for strength and airflow efficiency.
The hot-side pipe is designed specifically for the High Output platform and includes the proper temperature sensor provision for seamless
OEM integration.
Independent airflow testing confirms measurable improvements:
- Up to 61% less restriction on the hot side compared to factory piping
- Up to 27% less restriction on the cold side across the usable airflow range
Lower restriction means the turbo does not have to work as hard to move the same volume of air — improving overall charge system efficiency under load.
The factory cold-side pipe is plastic. Some aftermarket kits use minimal aluminum and heavily rely on silicone or rubber instead of full aluminum piping.
Often only a short section is upgraded while long silicone sections are used because they are less expensive and easier to produce than mandrel-bent,
TIG-welded, powder-coated aluminum tubing.
Excessive silicone or rubber can expand and billow under heavy boost, disrupting clean airflow and reducing structural stability. Aluminum maintains
its shape under pressure, preserving consistent airflow characteristics under higher boost levels found in the High Output platform.
Many competing kits also require you to remove and reuse factory O-rings and retaining clips from your original charge pipes. These components are
often heat-cycled and fatigued.
Sinister Diesel includes new O-rings and retaining clips for both hot and cold side connections — ensuring a proper seal and eliminating the risk
of reinstalling worn sealing components.
To further prevent boost leaks, our silicone boots feature a molded No-Slip Lip — an internal ridge that mechanically locks onto the pipe bead.
Combined with our 3/4" wide stainless steel T-bolt clamps, this design helps prevent boot slippage under heavy boost or tuned conditions.
This is not a cosmetic upgrade. It is a structural, airflow, and reliability improvement built to support the increased demands of the
6.7L High Output engine.

FAQ
Why should I upgrade to this product?
A: The factory plastic charge pipe is prone to cracking and boost leaks over time. Upgrading to an aluminum charge pipe provides increased strength,
improved heat resistance, and more consistent boost pressure delivery—reducing the risk of unexpected failures.
Will this fit my truck?
A: This kit fits 2023-2026 Ford Super Duty trucks (F-250 through F-550) equipped with the 6.7L HO Power Stroke diesel engine and factory turbo configuration.
Verify model year and engine before ordering.
Is installation difficult?
A: Installation is straightforward for most DIY mechanics and typically takes 1–2 hours using basic hand tools.
No cutting, tuning, or permanent modifications are required.
Will this affect performance or reliability?
A: This charge pipe maintains OEM performance characteristics while improving durability and sealing reliability.
It does not alter factory tuning but helps ensure consistent boost pressure under load.
How often should it be serviced?
A: Inspect the charge air system during routine service intervals (15,000–30,000 miles).
Trucks used for heavy towing or severe duty should be inspected more frequently.
What’s included in the kit?
A: The kit includes the aluminum hot and cold side charge pipe assembly, reinforced silicone boots,
heavy-duty clamps, mounting hardware, and installation instructions.
