Product Overview
The Sinister Diesel Coolant Filtration System for the 2011–2016 6.7L Powerstroke is designed to continuously remove harmful contaminants from your truck's coolant before they can circulate through and damage critical cooling system components.
Even new engines can contain residual casting sand, metal shavings, machining debris, rust, and other contaminants inside the cooling system. As coolant circulates through the engine, these particles can contribute to premature wear of the water pump and seals while accumulating in small coolant passages within components such as the EGR cooler and oil cooler.
The Sinister Diesel Coolant Filtration System addresses this problem by using a bypass design that continuously routes a small amount of coolant through a dedicated filter while the engine is running. Over time, contaminants are captured and removed from circulation without restricting the primary cooling system.
At the heart of the system is a CNC-machined 6061 billet aluminum filter block featuring two threaded inlet ports and one outlet port. The filter block mounts to a vehicle-specific bracket that utilizes existing factory mounting locations, so no drilling is required.
The included reinforced silicone hoses and fittings come pre-assembled to simplify installation and provide reliable connections. The hose assemblies are pressure tested at twice the recommended radiator cap pressure to help ensure dependable operation.
Cleaner coolant means less abrasive material circulating through your engine and an additional layer of protection for some of the most expensive components in your 6.7L Powerstroke cooling system.
Recommended Filter Service Schedule
The first several filters are changed more frequently because they typically capture the largest amount of existing debris from the cooling system.
Initial Filter – Replace after 500 miles
Second Filter – Replace after 1,500 miles
Third Filter – Replace after an additional 1,500 miles
Regular Maintenance – After the initial three filter changes, replace the coolant filter once per year
