How To Maintain your 6.0 Powerstroke - Intervals, Part Numbers and Capacities

by Hugh Jackson • July 15, 2024

The 6.0L Powerstroke is one of the most loved and hated diesel engines of all time. This post is designed to help all 6.0 Powerstroke owners maintain their trucks. Below, you will find all the information you will need to maintain your 6.0L Powerstroke.

Our recommended service intervals for the 6.0 Powerstroke

It is absolutely vital that owners maintain their fluids and filters throughout the ownership of their 6.0. What some don't realize is that how often you maintain your truck is dependent on how you drive your truck. For the sake of this post, we will split into "normal" operating conditions and "harsher" operating conditions. Harsher conditions would be if you are frequently towing or hauling, driving mostly off road / conditions that require 4 wheel drive, mostly driving on dusty roads, and excessive idling. We also recommend "harsher" condition maintenance if you are someone who takes frequent short drips in which the engine can't reach full operating temperature.
